Curling 101 is an initiation to curling program that focusses on the basics of curling in an atmosphere of camaraderie and fun. The course delivered by Lachine Curling Club is based on Curling Canada's program. The program is held twice per season (Fall & Winter). There are 6 classes of 2 hours each, for a total of 12 hours. The classes will be held on Sundays, from 3:45PM to 5:45PM. The course is designed for people that have never curled before with an interest in being initiated to the sport. The course is run by certified instructors. All the required equipment is made available. All you need is a pair of sneakers with clean soles.
Each session starts with a 20-minute presentation (theory), followed by approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes of on-ice time for practice and exercises.
