Curling 201 Is a new program created by and for LCC members who are hoping to bring their knowledge of the game to the NEXT LEVEL!
The program is held twice per season (Fall & Winter). There are 6 classes of 2 hours each, for a total of 12 hours. The classes will be held on Sundays, from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. The course is designed for LCC members who have played the game and are comfortable with the basics, but wish to elevate their game and knowledge of the sport to a more intermediate level.
Each session starts with a short off-ice theory presentation, followed by on-ice time for drills, practice and efficient technical execution.
The 6 weeks are broken down as follows:
- Week 1 - Introduction, Team Roles, Responsibilities and Etiquette
- Week 2 - Efficient Communication
- Week 3 - Efficient Sweeping & Stopwatch
- Week 4 - Efficient Curling Delivery
- Week 5 - Efficient Weight Control
- Week 6 - Team Strategy
